The Toxoplasma IgG test is a blood test that detects IgG antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii, the parasite responsible for toxoplasmosis. It determine past exposure or immunity to Toxoplasma. It evaluate risk in pregnancy to prevent congenital toxoplasmosis. IgG antibodies develop 1–2 weeks after infection and persist for life, providing evidence of past infection.
